STONE BLUFF — Anna Jewell (Buster) Blanton, 86, formerly of Stone Bluff and had been residing in Regency Place, Lafayette, for the past month, died there at 1:40 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2007. She was born July 14, 1920 near Glasgow, Ky., the daughter of Elzie and Margaret (Doyle) Buster. She married Leon P. Blanton Aug. 18, 1942 in Sterling. He preceded in death March 21, 1999. She was raised in Attica, where she attended Attica High School. For 50 years she lived in Stone Bluff and moved back to Attica to live before entering the nursing center. Survivors include: a daughter, Marilyn (Scott) Garrett, Lafayette; a son, Randy (Andrea) Blanton, Aurora, Colo.; two grandsons, Mike (Randi) Reitz, Williamsport; Matt (Christy) Reitz, Stone Bluff; a granddaughter, Molly Garrett, Lafayette; and four great-grandsons. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Edward and Edgar Buster; and two sisters, Willa Mae Parkman and Louise Harris. A gravesite service was at 2:15 p.m. Monday in Riverside Cemetery, Attica, with the Rev. Don Williams officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
