Attica, Oct 1 – Funeral services for Allen Board, aged 78, farmer, who died of throat disease at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ollie Clawson, near Stone Bluff, Monday morning will be held at the Osborne Church Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock. Mr. Board had been ailing for about a year, but had been bedfast for only two months. He had lived in Fountain County all his life, having been born on a farm near Covington in 1850. His wife, Ellen McClain died about four years ago while a daughter, Mrs. Edna Stewart also died about 12 years ago. He is survived by two daughters, a sister and four brothers. Daughters are: Mrs. Clawson and Mrs. Blanche Newman of Stone Bluff. His sister, Mrs. William Crumlea lives near Covington. Four brothers, John Board, Joseph Board and George Board live on farms near Covington while ELija Board lives in town.
