WAYNETOWN — Mrs. Arta Lang Boatman, 78, died at 11:20 a.m. Sunday at Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville. She had been ill since October and seriously ill nine days. She was born Aug. 18, 1886, in Osborne Prairie to Lincoln and Adella Hershberger Lang. She married Clifford Boatman in 1908. He died less than a year later. Mrs. Boatman was a member of the Osborne Prairie Church. She was educated in Stone Bluff schools. Since 1947 she lived with a nephew, Lowell Lang, near Waynetown. Survivors include a brother, Gerald, of Waynetown and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Minnie and Bessie, and two brothers, Guy and Perly. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Servies Funeral Home in Waynetown. Rev. Guy E. Tremaine will officiate. Burial will be in the Osborne Prairie Cemetery. Friend may call at the funeral home.
