Robert Bodine, living 3 miles southwest of Veedersburg died at 6:30 o'clock Sunday evening at Lake View Hospital in Danville, Ill where he had been under treatment for the past week. He spent his entire life
farming in the Veedersburg community.

Mr. Bodine was born near Veedersburg on April 7, 1862, the son of James and Mary Campbell Bodine, and was married to Lottie LaTourette who survives along with three sons, Henry at home; George of Covington and James of Attica; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Parkenheimer of Broadlands, Ill and Mrs. Grace Coffing of Attica and one sister, Mrs. Harry Glascock of Veedersburg.

The funeral was held from the Crumley Funeral Home in Covington Tuesday afternoon ta 2:30 o'clock in charge of Rev. Charles Howard of Sterling.  Burial was made in Mt. Hope cemetery, Covington.  -- kbz
