Danville, Ill.—Clarence “Duke” Bogart, 69, Danville, died at 7:10 p.m. Monday, May 15, 1989 at home.
  He was born July 7, 1919 in Danville, the son of Albert and Mary stem Bogart. He was married Sept. 18, 1942 in St. Louise, Mo., to Alice Grant, who preceded him in death Dec. 12, 1981. He was married June 13, 1982 in Danville to Norma Laird, who survives.
  He had been employed with the Kelley Wilbert Vault Company for 26 years and retired from Danville School District 118. His special interests were his family and do-it-yourself projects.
  Surviving besides his wife are two sons, Ray Bogart, Danville, and Robert Laird, Catlin, Ill.; eight daughters, Delores Sempsrott, Oakwood, Ill.; Mrs. Larry (Joanne) Langston, Covington; Mrs. Sam (Nancy) Hall, Danville; Mrs. Mike (Sheryl) Murphy, Las Vegas, Nev.; Mrs. Rodney (Bonnie) Kleiner, Danville; Mrs. John (Virginia) Wittenbach, Electra, Texas; Mrs. John (Cindy) Lazzell, Bangs, Texas, and Mrs. Frankie (Donna) Rhea, Danville; one brother, Albert, Danville; two sisters, Helen Rooze, west Point, and Viola chapel, Ticonderoga, N. Y.; 26 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by a son, Alan, a daughter-in-law, Kimberly, and a grandson, Alan Jr., two brothers and one sister.
  Funeral services were at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Pape Memorial Home, with Chaplain Lewis Root officiating. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery. – s
