VEEDERSBURG, Ind. (CNS) — Mrs. Dot Boggs, 83, former publisher of The Veedersburg News, died Sunday night (April 9, 1972) at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville. Born in Fountain County, July 5, 1888, she was the daughter of John and Hattie Dice Campbell. She was married to William Ira Boggs, who died in 1942. Mrs. Boggs was a member of the Veedersburg Christian Church and Theta Nu Chi sorority. Survivors include a son, William Labert Boggs of Veedersburg; two granddaughters, Mrs. Fred Meessen of Fort Wayne and Miss Jayne Boggs of Veedersburg; two grandsons, Dr. Jon W. Boggs of Milwaukee, Wis., and William W. Boggs of Veedersburg; and two great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. EST Wednesday at the Fishero Funeral Home, with the Rev. Michael Smythers officiating. Burial will be in Rockfield Cemetery near Veedersburg. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday.
