BOLTON, Annis Vickery

Annis Vickery Bolton of Danville, Illinois, age 88, died Friday morning, March 11, in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Danville. She was born in Veedersburg, July 11, 1894, the daughter of Silas and Sarah Ellen Gallion Vickery. In September of 1914, she married Edward Bolton, who died September 22, 1944.

Mrs. Bolton was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Danville, its Senior Citizens Club and Lydia Circle. She graduated from the former Brown’s Business College in Danville and had been employed by Sinter Sewing Machine Company, Lakeview Hospital, the YWCA cafeteria and Meis Brothers Department Store.

  Survivors include three daughters, Katherine Carr of Evansville, Ruth VanStone of Santa Marie, California, and Margaret Seymour of Lake Wales, Florida; a son, Stanley E. of Danville; a sister, Mary Saker of Covington; nine grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, seven step grandchildren and 14 step great grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at Pape Funeral Home in Danville with Rev. George Pope officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery at Danville. – thanks to S
