JOHN MILLER BONEBRAKE

John M. Bonebrake was born near Eaton, Preble Co Ohio Jan 27, 1808. He removed to Fountain County, Indiana with his parents in 1826. Later on he entered the land upon which he has lived until his death January 10, 1901 aged 92 years 11 months and 14 days. He was married to Rosena Drollinger Sept 1834. To this union was born 10 children 7 boys and 3 girls, of whom one son and two daughters survive, Nathanial M, who resides here, Louisa E. Yount, who lives in Allen County, Kansas and Rosena Smith whose home is in Utah. Rosa Bonebrake, the mother of these children, died in the year 1859. In 1862, he was again married to Rachel Isley, to which union there were born two daughters and one son, of whom one daughter survives, Mattie Patton who resides here. The mother of these children died in 1893. Of these children there are 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Mr. Bonebrake was an honest, upright citizen and held in esteem by his friends and acquaintances. Mr. Bonebrake never united with any church, but was a firm believer in the Christian religion.
