Mrs. Mary A. Bonebrake, 72, lifetime resident of Veedersburg, died at the lake View Hospital, Danville.  Monday night at 10 o'clock from complications which developed after she fell on the United Brethren Church steps Sunday afternoon a week ago, causing a fractured hip.  She was removed to the hospital following her injury and all possible medical care was administered.  Mrs. Bonebrake was born on a farm south of Veedersburg on March 2, 1869 the daughter of Bayless and Ellen Carter Rayphole.  She was married to James Bonebrake, Veedersburg on Dec 25, 1888, and they continuously resided in the community. Mr. Bonebrake died 23 years ago.  Mrs. Bonebrake was very highly respected and had many friends in the community.  She was a member of the Veedersburg Christian Church and Eastern Star.  Survivors are one son, Cornelius, Decatur, Ill; one sister, Mrs. Sadie Townsend Crawfordsville and one brother, George of Yeddo.  Following her death, the body was returned to Veedersburg to the Fishero & Son Funeral Home.  Funeral services were held at the Christian Church Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock with Rev OW McGaughey officiating.  Burial in Bonebrake Cemetery.
