Bonebrake - Ulysses Grant

Born: 3 Jan 1865 – Died: 19 June 1940

Ulysses Grant Bonebrake, fourth child of Corenlius and Phoebe Jane Bales Bonebrake was born Jan 3, 1865 while his father was a soldier in the Civil War.  He spent the entire 75 years on the farm where he lived and died.  He was married to Ella Bush on Sept 11, 1890.  To this union was born  two daughters, Hazel Lawson of Calgary, Albert, Canada and Dossie Helms of Veedersburg.  Ella departed this life on July 2, 1935.  During the years, father, mother, brother James and sister, Isabelle died, leaving only Mrs. Elzada Isley of his father's household.  He leaves besides the two daughters, Cornelius Lawson, of Toppenish,, Wash; Ruth Newcomb of Spokane, Wash and Gladys Lawson of Calgary, Canada; also Walter and Mary Catherine Helms of Vg and 3 great grandchildren.  Grant was a kind husband, a loving father and a good neighbor.  Such men make safe a nation, grace a community and honor the home. - thanks to Betty D
