A. M. Booe died at his home in Veedersburg Sunday at noon after a long illness caused by liver trouble. He was a man about 58 years of age and had made Fountain county his home almost all his life. He was elected county superintendent for two terms and was mayor of his hometown two years, 1905 and 1906. When death came he was serving as chairman of the Democratic Central Committee. His life was one of remarkable success. He was a kind husband and father and was honest in all his dealings. He was engaged in the drug business in his home city at the time of his death. He leaves a devoted wife, one daughter, Mrs. cGauhy; two sisters and one brother besides a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his loss. Funeral services were conducted from the Christian church in Veedersburg Tuesday at two o'clock p.m. by Rev. O. E. Kelley of Terre Haute after which the remains were laid to rest in the Rockfield cemetery east of that city.
