Veedersburg — Eddie R. Booe, 78, life resident of Veedersburg and the Veedersburg community died Saturday at a hospital in Logansport, where he had been a patient since April 18. Born Sept. 5, 1878, Mr. Booe was the son of Philip and Arminda Songer Booe, residents of Veedersburg. He was married Sept. 7, 1898, to Ella Mettee, of Veedersburg. Mr. Booe was employed many years with the Veedersburg Lumber Co. Later until his retirement he was employed with the street department of Veedersburg for many years. Survivors include the widow; three sons, Leslie Booe of Attica; Joe Booe of Benton Harbor, Mich., and M. Sgt. Robert Booe who is now on duty in Germany with the U. S. Armed Forces; a daughter, Mrs. Melba Edwards of Clarks Hill; two sisters, Mrs. Irma Harper, of Danville, Ill., and Mrs. Rector Alston, of Veedersburg; 29 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. The body is at the Fishero Funeral Home here in Veedersburg and definite arrangements for the funeral services are being delayed until word is received from the son in Germany.
