HILLSBORO—Mrs. Elsie Mae Booe, 69, died suddenly at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at her home 3 1/2, miles east of here. Mrs. Booe was a member of the First Baptist Church at Urbana, Ill., and was a charter member of American Legion Auxiliary 188 at Hillsboro. She was born July 22, 1898, at Mohomet, Ill., a daughter of William R. and Emma (Dooley) Barnhart. She married Sim S. Booe at Decatur, Ill., Sept. 6, 1920. Surviving are a son, Charles W., at home, and a sister, Miss Emma A. Barnhart. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1951 and a sister, Miss Flossie Barnhart, in 1947. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Servies-Thomas Funeral Home at Waynetown with Rev. Myron Hinton officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. today.
