Attica Man Hurt Fatally In Mishap- VEEDERSBURG- Funeral rites were held Sunday afternoon in the Fishero Funeral Home for Leslie Booe, 53, of near Attica, who was fatally injured Thursday afternoon in a tractor accident at the E. J. Earl farm near Attica where he was working. Mr. Booe died Thursday night in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette. Rev. Floyd Buskirk officiated at the services and burial was in Rockfield Cemetery near here. Mr. Booe was pinned beneath the tractor when it overturned while he was plowing a field. Three young sons, Robert, Charles and Larry, had been riding on the tractor with their father a few minutes before the accident occurred. Mr. Booe was born at Veedersburg June 13, 1906, the son of Ed and Ella Mettee Booe. He married Geneva Schulha Oct. 2, 1929. Mr. Booe was a member of the Veedersburg Nazarene Church. He had engaged in farming for several years. Surviving, beside the widow and the three young sons, are a daughter, Deborah, at home; the mother; another son, Leslie Booe of Waynetown; two brothers, Joe Booe of Benton Harbor, Mich.; and Robert Booe, in services with the Army at Fort Lewis, Wash., and a sister, Mrs. Melbe Edwards of South Bend.
