Funeral rites for Mrs. Stebb Booe, who passed away at Lake View Hosp, Danville, Ill; on Thursday morning Feb 5, after an extended illness from complications were held from the Christian Church in Hillsboro, Sun Feb 8 at 1:30 o'clock. The Rev. Harold E. Wilson was in charge of the service and was assisted by the local pastor the Rev HD Platt. The pall bearers were Archie Reynolds, Geo. Foxworthy, Rolland Keeling, Charles Humphryes, Harry Allen and George Birge. Mrs. Ruth Ford and Mrs. Carol Myer accompanied at the piano by Miss Betty Ford, sang "Going Down the Valley" "Garden of Prayer and Good Night Here but God Morning Up There. The flower bearers were Mabel Keeling, Gladys Starnes, Nellie Eitnier, Phoebe Humphreys, Bertha Wilson, Etta Gebhart, Lucille Fishero, Jess Harlan, Flossie Barnhart, Edna Donovan, and Mary Reynolds. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery, Hillsboro. God calls without respect or favor from the pathway of life as it pleases him. On Feb 5, 1942, he called Lizzie Pithoud Booe, saying, Daughter come home. Having reached the age of 69 years, 6 months and 18 days. She was the daughter of /Mr. & Mrs. James Pithoud and was born in Parke Co July 18, 1872. ... on Jan 5, 1895, she was united in married to Steb Booe. To this union 10 children were born two preceding him in death and 8 children survive their father. They are: Mrs. Marie Groves, Bloomington Ill; Mrs. Elvira Dye, Hubert, Malcom Booe all of Chicago; Mrs. Margaret Cooper, Sim Booe of Hillsboro; Theodore Booe and Herman Booe of Urbana, Ill. She also leaves two brothers, Perry and Jacob Pithoud besides 17 grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn their loss which is God's gain.

Mrs. Stebb Booe, 70, resident of Hillsboro, d. at Lake View Hospital, Thursday morning Feb 5, following a 3 month illness. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Pithoud and was b. in Parke Co July 18, 1872. On Jan 15, 1895, she was married to Steb Booe who survives with 8 children: Mrs. Marie Groves, Bloomington, Ill; Mrs. Elvira Dye, Hubert Booe, Malcom Booe, Chicago; Mrs. Margaret Cooper, Sim Booe, Theo. Booe, Herb Booe of Hillsboro. Funeral services will be held at Hillsboro Christian Church, Sun aft at 1:30 o'clock. The body will be at the Fishero Fun Home in Veedersburg until Saturday afternoon. Mrs. Booe was an aunt of Mrs. Harry Fishero.
