BOWERS, Della - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mrs. Della Bowers, 84, died at 6 p.m. Saturday in Rudisill Nursing Home after a two-year illness. She was born Dec 23, 1876 in Pulaski, Tenn, the daughter of Edward and Emma Norman Strong. She married Harmon W. Bowers in 1923.  He died in 1943. Mrs. Bowers, who was a member of the Waynetown Christian Church had resided at the Durham home thepast few years.

Mr. Bowers was in the hardware business at Waynetown for many years. After his retirement, Mr. and mrs. Bowers moved to Hillsboro where they lived until his death.  Surviving are a son, Edward Hogan of Gary;  a daughter by a previous marriage, Alene Tenney of Chicago and eight great grandchildren.  

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Paul E. Million officiating. Burial will be in Wayneton Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home. - kbz
