KINGMAN — Jesse L. Bowling, 76, Kingman, died at 12:55 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2006 in Union Hospital, Terre Haute. He was born July 20, 1930 in Cates, the son of Arthur Monroe and Grace Iva (Harvey) Bowling. He married Iola A. Garrison Dec. 7, 1956 in Kingman. She preceded in death April 7, 1999. He retired from P.S.I. Energy in Cayuga in 1994. He was a veteran of the Koran War serving with the United States Army. He attended the Kingman Christian Church. He was a member of the Kingman American Legion Post #384. He enjoyed helping the Boy Scouts and coaching little league baseball in the Kingman area. Survivors include: three sons, John (Mary Jo) Bowling, Kingman, Sohn (Cyndi Bowling, Harveysburg, and Samuel (Shannon) Bowling, Kingman; nine grandchildren; a great-grandson; three great-granddaughters; and four brothers, Bob (Barbara) Nolan, Newtown, Art Bowling, Covington, Bill (Pat) Bowling, Veedersburg, and Donnie Bowling, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and three brothers. Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Saturday in DeVerter Brothers Funeral Home, Cayuga, with the Rev. Steve Crum officiating.
