Cates – Joann B. Bowling, 65 of Cates died at 9:47 a.m. Monday Jan 5, 2004 in West Central Community Hospital, Clinton. Born March 31, 1938 in Cates, she lived in Cates most of her life. She married Donald E. Bowling on Sept 27, 1959 in Veedersburg. He survives. Mrs. Bowling was a homemaker. She was a member of Kingman American Legion Post 274 Auxiliary. Surviving with her husband are four daughters: Deborah Lynn Hensley of Clarksville; Connie Joe Tannis of NY: Penny Schanlaub (George) of Cates and Laurie Shaffer (Roger) of Clarksville; two sons, Kenneth E. Bowling (Bernadettes) of Cates and Ricky D. Bowling of Clarksville; a brother, Leon Hensley of Citrus Heights, Calif; and two sisters, Patsy Kirby of Covington and Pamala Bars (Wesley) of NY. Services are Friday in Covington. - kbz
