Frederick J. Bowlus, age 67, of Williamsport, died at his home at 2 a.m. Sunday, July24, after an illness o£ four years. He was a retired railroad mail clerk on the C&EI Railroad between Chicago and Evansville. He had resided in the Williamsport area most of his life. Mr. Bowlus was born Oct. 7, 1898, at Williamsport, the son of Jason D. and Elizabeth Cantrell Bowlus. He was married July 16, 1932, in Oxford, to Olive Roberts, who survives. He was an Army veteran of World War I. He was a member of the Williamsport American Legion Post and the Masonic Lodge of Chicago. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 27, at the Crowmer-Siddens Funeral Home in Williamsport. The Rev. Douglas Dickey officiated and burial was in Highland Cemetery.

Williamsport, Ind. (CNS) - Frederick J. Bowlus, 67, of 210 Fall, Williamsport, died at his home at 2 a.m. yesterday (July 24, 1966) after an illness of four years. He was a retired railroad mail clerk on the C&EI Railroad between Chicago and Evansville. He had resided in the Williamsport area most of his life. Born Oct. 7, 1898, at Williamsport, he was a son of Jason D. and Elizabeth Cantrell Bowlus. He was married July 16, 1932, in Oxford, Ind., to Olive Roberts who survives. Also surviving are a son, Daniel A. of Huntsville, Ala.; a daughter, Mrs. Linda B. Carney of Edgewood, Md., and a sister, Mrs. R. H. Schoonover of Huntington Woods, Mich. He was an Army veteran of World War I. He was a member of the Williamsport American Legion Post and the Masonic Lodge of Chicago. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Crowmer-Siddens Funeral Home in Williamsport with the Rev. Douglas Dickey officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Tuesday.
