BOWMAN, Henry Waterbury

Henry W. Bowman, 85, retired farmer, died at 10:30 o’clock Tuesday morning in Wallace.  He had been ill seriously for two weeks and death was due to complications.  Mr. Bowman was born Feb 18, 1860 in Jackson Township and was the son of Dennis and Isabelle Wert Bowman and was married to Amanda C. Harper in Wallace on Feb 27, 1881.  Mr. Bowman was a member of the Lutheran Church.  Surviving are his widow; five daughters, Mrs. Cora McCollum, Mrs. Fanny Weeks, Mrs. Belva Harper, Mrs. Goldie Bayless all of Wallace and Mrs. Flossie Shaffer of Hillsboro 13 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and three brothers, George Bowman of Frankfort; Samuel Bowman and Alva Bowman, both of Wallace.  Funeral services were held at the Lutheran Church Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock with Rev. John Servies in charge.  – kbz
