BOWMAN, John Henry - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Wallace, Dec 19 (1943) John Henry Bowman, 77, died Sunday morning at his home near here of the results of a parlytic stroke. He had been sick for the past 14 weeks. Mr. Bowman was born near Wallace on Nov 8, 1966, the son of Joseph and Elizabeth Hybarger Bowman. He was married here to Mary E. Clark on March 18, 1894; and was a member of the Lutheran church near here. Survivors: one son, Les Von Bowman of Wallace; a foster-daughter, Mrs. Faye Welsh, Crawfordsville; a granddaughter, Mrs. Wildis Jones, Crawfordsville and two great grandchildren, Jimmie and Grace Jones. Funeral services were held at two o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Lutheran Church with Rev. John L. Servies in charge; burial in adjoining Cemetery.
