BOWMAN, Nelson Daniel

Nelson Daniel Bowman, age 66, died suddenly of a heart attack at 9:50 o’clock Monday morning at his home two miles southwest of Wallace.  Mr. Bowman was born in Mill Creek Twp, Fountain County on Nov 12, 1889 the son of Dennis and Laura Wilkinson Bowman. He was married to Bessie Lowery on March 5, 1928 at Wallace.  He was a member of the Wallace Christian Church. Besides the wife, the survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Mildred Cates of Hillsboro and Miss Helen Louis at home; one son, Daniel at home; one brother, Altra Eston Bowman at home; three half brothers, Henry and Samuel both of Wallace and George of Frankfort; one grandchild. The funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Lutheran Church near Wallace with Rev. Ralph Watson of Crawfordsville in charge. Burial was made in the cemetery adjoining the Lutheran Church. – kbz

Funeral services for Nelson Daniel Bowman 46, who died of a heart ailment at 9:50 a.m. Monday at his home near Wallace, were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Lutheran Church. Burial was made in the cemetery adjoining. Rev. Mr. Watson of Crawfordsville officiated. Grenanrd & Servies Funeral Home of Waynetown was in charge. He was born November 12, 1899 a son of Dennis & Laura Wilkinson Bowman. He was married to Bessie Lowry on March 5, 1928 near Mace. He was a member of the Wallace Christian Church. Survivors besides his widow are 3 childred: Grace B. Cates of Hillsboro and Denny & Helen of home, a grandchild, one brother, Alva and 3 half brothers: Henry, Sam & George of Frankfort.
