Following an illness of two weeks, William C. Bracken, 69, retired father and business man, died at 10:20 a.m. Wednesday, Oct 29, 1941, at Cates. He had been in poor health two years. He was born July 2 1872, in Fountain County, Ind., son of Thomas and Elizabeth Bly Bracken, and was a life resident of the community. He farmed for many years and after he retired conducted the hardware store and filling station. On July 15 1900, he was married to Miss Mary Irwin, who with five children survives. The children are Roy and Guy of Cates, Paul of Fairfax, Ind., Mrs. Hazel Dewitt of Indianapolis and Mrs. Ethel Hooton, Frankfort. A sister, Mrs. Ray Crane, St. Joe, Ind., a brother, George Bracken, Los Angeles, California ...
