Russell (Rusty) Branam, 68, died suddenly at noon on Mon. December 6, 1976 at the Veedersburg License Branch. He was born December 10, 1907 in Indianola, Ill., the son of Charles and Lula Whitamore Branam. He was married July 9, 1928 to Grace Collier, who survives. Survivors also include one daughter, Mrs. Frank (Helen) Switzer, Jr. of Cayuga and a son Robert Branam of near Veedersburg; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Guiliani and Mrs. Clara Bodart, both of Westville, Ill.; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Mr. Branam resided in the Mellott vicinity for the past twenty eight years. He retired from the Norfolk & Western Railroad Co. in 1973, after 45 years employment. Services at the Crumley-Williams Funeral Home in Hillsboro, Ind. The Rev. Robert Hodshire of the Mellott New Antioch Christian Church officiated. Burial at Rose Hill Cemetery in Hillsboro.

Mellott, Ind - Services will be at 1:30 p.m. EST Thursday at Crumley-Williams Funeral Home in Hillsboro for Russell "Rusty" Branam, 68. He died of an apparents heart attack. The Rev. Robert Hodshire will officiate. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery in Hillsboro. Friends will be received after 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Mr. Branam had been a resident of Mellott for 28 years. He had retired in 1973 after 45 years with Norfolk & Western Railroad.
