MELLOTT — Mrs. Daisy L. Brandenburg, 75, died at her home in Mellott at 3:30 p.m. Friday. She has been bedridden for the past 8 1/2 years. She was born Oct. 18, 1896, in Montgomery County, the daughter of President and Margaret Mitchell. She married Edgar Willhite in 1914. He is deceased. Nov. 25, 1959, she married Roy V. Brandenburg, who survives. Mrs. Brandenburg lived most of her life in the Mellott Community and was a member of the Mellott United Church of Christ. She is survived by the husband; four sons, Kenneth of Crawfordsville, Leon of Elburn, Ill., Gale of West Lebanon and Noel of Waynetown; one daughter, Mrs. Raymond (Melba) Ziegler of Hampton, Iowa; two sisters, Mrs. Frank (Eula) Haslem of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Stanley (Amaza) Zimmerman of Sturgis, Mich.; one brother, Elmer Mitchell of Veedersburg, and a half brother, Robert Miller of Valparaiso. She was preceded in death by her first husband and a son, Dale, twin brother of Gale, who died in infancy. Services will be at the Mellott United Church of Christ at 2 p.m. Monday. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the funeral. Rev. George Phelps will officiate. Friends may call at the Crumley-Williams Funeral Home in Hillsboro from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in the Willhite Cemetery southeast of Wingate.

Mellott – Mrs. Daisy L. Brandenburg, 78 of Mellott died Friday at 3:30 p.m. in her home. She had been ill over eight years. Born in Montgomery County she married Edgar Willhite in 1914 who preceded her in death.  In 1959 she married Roy Brandenburg who survives.  Mrs. Brandenburg was a member of the Mellott United Church of Christ. Surviving with the husband are four sons, Kenneth of Crawfordsville; Leon of Elburn, Ill; Gale of West Lafayette and Noel of Waynetown; one daughter, Mrs. Raymond (Melba) Ziegler of Hampton, Iowa; two sisters, Mrs. Frank (Eula) Haslem of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Stanley (Amaza) Zimmerman of Sturgis, Mich; one brother, Elmer Mitchell of Veedersburg and one half-brother, Robert Miller of Valparaiso.

“Funeral Notices” Brandenburg, Mrs. Roy – Friends may call Sunday 7-9 p.m. Crumley-Williams Funeral Home, Hillsboro. Body will lie in state one hour before service at 2 p.m. Monday in the Mellott United Church of Christ with the Rev. George Phelps officiating.  Interment Wilhite Cemetery, Wingate.
