Attica, Ind., (CNS) — Earl N. Branigin, 49, of Attica Route 1, died at 9:45 p.m. yesterday (May 10, 1966) in the Veterans Administration Hospital in Danville, Ill., where he had been a patient one day. He was born Aug. 26, 1916, in Canton, Miss., a son of Morris and Lena Branigin who survive and reside at Canton. Surviving are his widow, Clara, a former Danville nurse; a daughter, Gale Branigain, a nurse at Lake View Memorial in Danville; two brothers, Ed of Canton and James of Lombard, Ill., and a sister, Mrs. Lester Tuck of Pascagoula, Miss. He was a member of the First Baptist Church at Canton and the Warren County American Legion Post. He served as a captain in the Army Air Force in World War II. He was a bookkeeper. The Berhalter Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements in Danville. The body will be taken to the residence where friends will be received after noon Thursday. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the DeSutter Funeral Home in Attica with the Rev. Everett White officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
