Arthur H. "Fuzzy" Brant, 80, of 605 N. Perry, died Sunday (Jan. 17, 1971) at Williamsport Community Hospital. He had been a patient there one day and had been ill 10 years. He was born in Attica, Dec. 2, 1890, the son of Horace Earl and Alice Sorrells Brant. He married Goldie Hawkins at Crawfordsville June 29, 1914, Life resident of Attica, he attended Attica schools. He operated Wabash Grocery and Meat Market from 1923 to 1933 and Brants Restaurant from 1933 to 1957. Mr. and Mrs. Brant were caterers at Harrison Hills Country Club from 1957 to 1961. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Attica. Survivors include his widow; a foster son, Robert of South Bend; a daughter, Mrs. Maxine McCoy of Attica; a grandson, Michael Layton, who resided with Mr. and Mrs. Brant; two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Prebble of Fort Meade, Fla., and Mrs. Zura Evans of LaPorte; three other grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Two sisters preceded him in death. Services Wednesday at the DeSutter Funeral Home, with the Rev. Harold Bachert officiating. Burial in Riverside Cemetery.
