Veedersburg, Sept 13 -- Christopher Brant, prominent resident of this vicinity, died at his home here Monday afternono. Cancer of the stomach was cause of his death. Mr. Brant was born near Hillsboro 68 years ago the son of James and Louisa Brant and spent his entire life as a farmer in this locality. He united in marriage to Nellie Bowerman Aug 31, 1882. He was a member of the Maosnic and Odd Fellows lodges. Besides his widow, he is survived by a son, Lawrence of Greencastle; two daughters, Mrs. Effie Sloan of Hillsboro and Elizabeth Brant at home; and 8 grandchildren. Three sisters and one brother also survive. They are: Mrs. Effie Royer, Wickersham, Wash; Mrs. Elizabeth Beaver, Sheldon, Mo; Mrs. Ellen Snyder of Momence, Ill and James Brant of Seattle, Wash. Funeral services will be held from the Waynetown Baptist Church Thursday morning at 11 with interment at Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. - kbz

Christopher Brant, age 68 years, a prominent resident of Veedersburg died at his home there Monday evening of cancer. Mr. Brant was born near Hillsboro and for many years was a farmer there. Besides a widow he leaves a son, Lawrence Brant of Greencastle; two daughters, three sisters and one brother.  Funeral services will be held at Waynetown Thursday morning at 11 o’clock with interment in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. - kbz
