Hillsboro, July 6 - Mrs. Caroline Bever received a message Monday morning of the death of her niece, Mrs. Mary E. Brant, who was found dead in bed at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mary Meeker, south of Danville, Monday morning. She was the widow of John Brant and for several years had been making her home with her children. She had been staying at the home of her son, Harry Brant, near Danville and had gone to the home of her daughter, Sunday for a brief visit. She had been dead a short time when relatives found her. Heart trouble was given as the cause of death. Deceased was 74 years of age and was the daughter of William and Eliza Nicholson, who resided in the vicinity of Hillsboro for a number of years. She was the last survivors of her immediate family and leaves two sons, Walter and Harry Brant, and one daughter, Mrs. Mary Meeko; all of near Danville, Ill. She resided in Crawfordsville with an aunt for a number of years before her marriage. The body was taken to Waynetown where the funeral services were held at the Baptist Church Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock and interment was made in the Masonic cemetery in Waynetown. A number of relatives from here attended the services.
