Covington, Ind. (CNS) - Mrs. Mary Brasker, 88, died at 2:40 p.m. yesterday (July 6, 1968) at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Rae Verden of Covington Route 2, with whom she had made her home for the past eight years. Born Dec. 17, 1879, at Marshfield, she was the daughter of Marion and Hannah Ballah. She was married to James L. Brasker Sept. 2, 1908. He preceded her in death July 31, 1941. She is survived by two sons, James L. and Donald, both of Covington Route 2; three daughters, Mrs. Allan (Pansy) Taylor of State Line, Mrs. Robert (Beulah) Bayless of Elkhart and Mrs. Rae (Mary Alice) Verden of Covington Route 2; s sister, Estella Mayhew of Attica; 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Brasker was preceded in death by three sister, two brothers, three step-sons and a step-daughter. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church of Covington and a life resident of the Warren and Fountain County area. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Edgar Allen officiating. Burial will be in West Lebanon Cemetery. The body is the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home where friends will be received after 7 p.m. Sunday and Monday afternoon and evening.
