BREWER, Herschel Earl - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

VEEDERSBURG -- Hershel Earl Brewer, 84, died Sunday at 9:30 a.m. in his home at Sterling. He was born March 30, 1885 in Fountain County, the son of Monroe and Lillie Belle Holland Brewer. He was a former carpenter and horse trainer, and had been a resident of Sterling the past six years, moving there from Tuscon, Ariz. He had earlier lived in Wabash Township of Fountain County. He was a member of the West Liberty Christian Church, and Unity Lodge 344, F&AM, at Perrysville. Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Virgie Romans of Danville, Ill., a brother Robert of Mooresville, and a grandson, James Brewer of Tuscon. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home at Covington, with Rev. Gayle McKinley officiating. Burial will be in West Liberty Cemetery, and friends may call at the funeral home.
