Williamsport – Ora Brier, 83, of 406 West Street, retired railroader and carpenter, died at 1:15 p.m. Monday in Community Hospital where he had been a patient a month. Born near Ambia, he spent most of his life in Attica. He was married at Chicago in 1907 to Nellie Walton. For the first 20 years after his marriage he was employed by the old Chicago, Attica & Southern line, the Elgin, Joliet & Eastern line and another railroad. Mr. Brier later was a carpenter for the late Wallace Haworth in Attica. He was a member of Attica Eagles Lodge. Surviving with the widow are three sons, Glen and Gordan both of Attica and Ora C. of Indianapolis; two daughters, Mrs. Gordan Cox of Joliet, Ill and Mrs. Jim Robinson of Buck Creek and a brother, Robert Brier of Lafayette. – kbz
