ATTICA — Thelma Eileen (Snider) Brier, 77, 8915 S. 900 W., Attica, died at 9:15 a.m. Sunday, April 27, 2003 in Home Hospital, Lafayette. She was born Nov. 8, 1925 in Attica, the daughter of Jesse and Laura Cain Snider. She married Gordon M. Brier Sept. 8, 1962 in Attica. He preceded in death May 21, 2002. She was raised in the Attica area, attending the Vine and Attica school systems. She had resided in Odell since 1971. She had previously worked for Norral Market and Alcoa Aluminum Co. in Lafayette. She had worked out of her home the last 10 years for Carman Chemicals in Missouri. She was a past president of the Ladies Eagles #2596. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary #52 and a life member of the V.F.W Ladies Auxiliary Post #3318 of Attica. Survivors include: a son, Bo Boone (Gema), Lincoln, Neb. and two grandchildren, Daniel and Miguel Ledesma, Lincoln, Neb. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Glen, Bob and Bill Snider, as well as a sister Anna Marie Wilson. Gravesite services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Riverside Cemetery, Attica. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. tonight (Wednesday) in Maus Funeral Home, Attica, with a V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary memorial service at 7:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the West Point Fire Department. – jlr
