BRIGGS, Belle Stevens - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mrs. Belle E. Briggs, 74, a member of the First Baptist Church and employed many years at the Monon and Crawford hotels, died Thursday afternoon in Lane House Nursing Center after an illness of several months. She was a native of Attica, born June 13, 1896 to Oliver and Rosa Royers Stevens. She married Willard Briggs. Survivors include a brother, Herman Stevens of New Market, three grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Two sons preceded her in death. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home, with interment in Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today.
