Veedersburg – Czar Kerr Briner, 79, lifelong resident of Veedersburg was found dead in bed Saturday after suffering an apparent heart attack. Mr. Briner was a retired electrician and was married to Nora Hardesty who preceded him in death. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Marguerite Walls of Veedersburg and two brothers, Herman of Veedersburg and Goldie of Covington.

Czar Kerr Briner, age 79, a life resident of Veedersburg, brother of Goldie Briner, 203 Eleventh St., Covington, suffered a fatal heart attack during his sleep Friday night, Oct. 6, at his home in Sterling. He was found in bed at his home at 10 a. m. Saturday, Oct. 7, by a brother, Herman, who climbed through a window when he could not arouse him. Death was attributed to a cardiac thrombosis by Ralph Nelson, Fountain County coroner, who investigated. Mr. Briner was born April 7, 1882, in Sterling a son of Monroe and Rose Kerr Briner. He was married to Nora Hardesty, who preceded him in death. Mr. Briner was a retired electrician. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Marguerite Walls of Veedersburg; and two brothers, Herman of Veedersburg and Goldie of Covington. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. this afternoon, Wednesday, at the Veedersburg Nazarene Church. The Rev. D. L. Hiatt officiated. Burial was in the Bonebrake Cemetery with the Woodrow Funeral Home of Kingman in charge.

He married Nora Hardesty who preceded him in death. Mr. Briner was a retired electrician. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Marguerite Walls of Veedersburg; two brothers, Herman of Veedersburg and Goldie of Covington. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Veedersburg Nazarene Church with Rev. D.L. Hiatt in charge. Interment will be in the Bonebrake Cemetery. Friends may call at the Woodrow Funeral Home in Kingman.
