Funeral rites were held Monday afternoon, Sept. 19, at the Veedersburg Nazarene Church for Mrs. Nora Briner, age 77, who died Saturday afternoon, Sept. 17, at her home in Sterling. Burial was in Bonebrake Cemetery, south of Veedersburg, with the Woodrow Funeral Home in charge. Born at Danville, Ill., May 30, 1883, she was the daughter of John and Mary Riley Hardesty. She was married June 26, 1902 to Czar Briner, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Marguerite Walls of Veedersburg, Rt. 3; a sister, Mrs. Nellie Richardson of near Covington; three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, two brothers, a daughter and a sister.
