BRINEY, Robert L.

Hillsboro - Robert L. Briney, 76 of 2013 Cloverdale St, formerly of Hillsboro died at 6:30 p.m. Sunday in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Lafayette.

Mr. Briney retired in 1988 as owner and operator of three area restaurants the Bob-A-Lou, the Mustang Room and Sky Valley Ranch near Veedersburg.

He also had been the Democratic Committee Precinctman for King Township (?) in Fountain County for 30 years. He was a member of the Ferguson Club of Fountain County and the Hillsboro Nazarene Church.  He was a graduate of Attica HS.

He was born Feb 12, 1914 at Attica to Mark and Leffie Auter Briney. He married Virginia Lou Humphreys March 24, 1953 at Pence, Ind. She survives.

Also surviving are a son, Robert Jr. of Glasgow, Ky and two grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by a son, Frank.

Funeral services are scheduled for 3 p.m. Wednesday in the Thomas Funeral Home at Waynetown with Rev. Greg McDonald officiating. Burial will be in the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call from 1 p.m. to time of service Wednesday.
