VEEDERSBURG — Sarah Ann Brock, 99, formerly of Veedersburg, died at 6:33 p.m. July 9, 1999 in Covington Manor Nursing Center. Born Oct. 25, 1899 in Jackson County, she was the daughter of Alexander and Rebeccah J. Coleman Willcutt. She married Clarence Brock Sr Oct. 25, 1919 in Sullivan. He preceded her in death Jan. 8, 1958. She resided in this area for 50 years and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Veedersburg Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Survivors include: sons, Frederick (Rebeccah) Brock, Veedersburg, Harold (Betty) Brock, Kingman, Lewis (Iris) Brock, Veedersburg, John (Virginia) Brock, Veedersburg, Jerry (Linda) Brock, Covington; daughter, Mary Ruth Walder, Paris, Ill., 18 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son; a daughter; four brothers; and five sisters. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Dickerson Funeral Home, Veedersburg, with Roy Bushong officiating. Burial was in Miller Cemetery near Lodi. – jlr
