Mrs. Bertha C. Brown, age 74, of Veedersburg, died at 8:45 a. m. Monday, Sept. 25, in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Myrtle Noggle, on Veedersburg Rt. 3. She had been ill two years and seriously ill six weeks. Born in Sterling, Ky., March 26, 1887, she was the daughter of Green and Mary Goldiron Manning. She was married Jan. 31, 1910, to Austin Brown, who survives. She was a member of the Sterling Christian Church. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Roderick and Paul of Veedersburg; two daughters, Mrs. Noggle and Mrs. Dorothy Brosman of Phoenix, Ariz., and two sisters, Mrs. Veda Witt of Indianapolis and Mrs. Myrtle Shrout of Carlisle, Ky. Services will be held Thursday at 2 p. m. at the Sterling Christian Church. The Rev. William Aimsworth will officiate. Burial will be in the Rockfield Cemetery with the Fishero Funeral Home of Veedersburg in charge.  --typed by Walt W
