BROWN, Charles - 1948

Wallace—Funeral services were held at the Wallace Christian Church Thursday for Charles Brown of Wallace.
  Services were conducted by Rev. Richard Trojan and American Legion of which Mr. Brown was a member.
  Pall bearers were Rowe Furr, Ed Wildman, Wiley Crowder, Eston Goodin, Stanton Alward, Emery Fender, Arid Myers and Bronson Roach.
  Flower bearers were Cecil Brown, Floyd Brown, Cliston Sample, Kenneth Adkins, Charles Bryant, Max Bruner, Duke Cowan, Jimmy Simpson, Ferris Starnes, Austin Fine, Bill Cates, Richard Philpott, Charles Philpott, Grover Wethington, Oral Sowers, Junior Brown and Stephen Clore.
  Lincoln Langford, Leslie Elmore, Ora Elmore and Leslie Melvin sang “Rock of Ages” and “He’ll Understand and Say Well Done” accompanied at the piano by Mrs. Byron Smiley.
  Rev. Richard Trojan sang “Just As I Am” accompanied by Mrs. Gomilla Sample at the piano. – thanks to S&E
