Donald R. brown, 78, Crawfordsville died Tuesday in St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis. Mr. Brown worked for RR Donnelley retiring in December 1989. He served in the Navy during WWII. His memberships included: Smartsburg Christian Church where he was an elder; American Legion; Masonic Lodge and Rocky Ridge Golf Club.
He was born June 7, 1926 at Mellott to Floyd and Ruby "Small" (sic - see note) Brown. He married Winnifred Henderson on May 29, 1948 at Kentucky. She survives. Also surviving are a son, Larry J. (Debbie) Waynetown; two daughters, Karen (Dennis) Brooks and Sharen (Rick) Linn, both of Crawfordsville; a sister, LaVera Lowe, Veedersburg and six grandchildren.
Funeral services are scheduled 10 a.m. Friday in Hunt & Son Funeral Home, 107 N Grant Ave with Rev. Joyce Coalson officiatnig. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home Memorials may be made to Smartsburg Christian Church.
