Barbara B Elmer Ray Brown, age 63, of Fithian, Ill., Rt. 2, father of Mrs. Thomas (Ivadean) Douglas and Marlin Brown, both of Veedersburg, died at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16, at Lake View Memorial Hospital, Danville, Ill. He had been a patient there 13 days. Mr. Brown was born Oct. 24, 1903 at Veedersburg, the son of Cyrus Clayton and Arisa Hopkins Brown. He was married to Bertha Shonkwiler at Attica on July 3, 1920. He had farmed in the Fithian area a number of years. Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Al (Esther) Meter of Portland, Ore., and Mrs. Douglas of Veedersburg; one son, Marlin Brown of Veedersburg; three grandchildren; and one brother, Hurley Brown of Kokomo. 1966 handwritten on obituary. -- typed by Barb B
