DANVILLE, Ill. — Elsie Fauniel Brown, 70, Danville, Ill., died at 11:05 a.m. Monday, Sept. 10, 2007 in St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis. She was born March 1, 1937 in Warren County, the daughter of Frank and Laura (Brandenburg) Bahrns. She married Carroll Dallas Brown July 3, 1955 at her parent's home north of State Line. He survives. She was a 1955 graduate of West Lebanon High School. She lived at Catlin 45 years, moving to Danville in 2003. She was employed at Burger Chef 14 years and VA Illiana Medical Center 10 years, where she retired. She was a member of First Church of Christ in Danville. She enjoyed craft shows and traveling. Survivors, besides the husband, include: a daughter, Kathy Jo (Benny) Keith, Magnolia, Ark.; a brother, Ernest (Roberta) Bahrns, Williamsport; a sister, Ruth Ann (Kenneth) Kendrick, Indianapolis; two grandchildren, Tiffany (Danny) Matheny and Joshua Keith; and a great-grandson, Shawn Michael Matheny. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Shelby Funeral Home, Covington, with Donald Thornton officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Covington. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. tonight (Wednesday) in the funeral home. – jlr
