Mellott, Aug 17 - Mrs. Emma S Brown, 69, one of the best known residents of this community died at her home here Friday morning at 10:15 o'clock. Mrs. Brown had been an invalid for the past 4 years but had been seriouly ill only for the past two weeks. Death was due to paralysis. The deceased was born near Waynetown on April 15, 1860 the daughter of John and Mary Herron Hamm. Her marriage to John B. Brown took place in September 1879. Mrs. Brown was a member of the North Christian Church at Mellott. The survivors are 3 sons, Homer at home and Floyd & Walter both of Mellott; two daughters, Deborah and Eva; and 3 grandchildren as well as a number of other relatives and friends. The funeral services will be held at the home in Mellott Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock in charge of Rev. Fry. Burial will be made in the Masonic Cemetery at Waynetown.
