Source: The obituary is from a collection by Fauniel Hershberger, saved the 1950's, 60's and 70's. She was a life long resident of Fountain County Indiana.  The collection is now housed at Crawfordsville District Public Library.  Scrapbook gives year as 1966.

Mrs. Grace L. Brown, age 87, of 109 W. Washington St., Attica, died at 10 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 28, at the Pleasant Valley Lodge in Warren County. She had been ill one year. Mrs. Brown was born July 7, 1879, in Shawnee Township, Fountain County, the daughter of John A. and Matilda Brown. She was married in 1905 to Earle Brown, who preceded her in death. She was a member of the First Methodist Church, Order of Eastern Star, a charter member of the Shawnee Home Demonstration Club, and the Fountain County Historical Society. Survivors include: one daughter, Mrs. Sheldon Hicks of Springfield, Va.; one son, Rex of Arlington Heights; seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31, at the Roemer Funeral Home, Attica. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery there.
