Source: The obituary is from a collection by Fauniel Hershberger, saved the 1950's, 60's and 70's. She was a life long resident of Fountain County Indiana.  The collection is now housed at Crawfordsville District Public Library.

Homer Brown, age 83, a life resident of Attica, died at 9 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 25, in the Allen Nursing Home in Rockville where he had been a patient since Nov. 1, 1962. Mr. Brown was born Jan. 7, 1883, in Shawnee Twp., the son of Mr. and Mrs. Esau Brown. He was married Oct. 14, 1902, in Attica to Mazie Fugate, who preceded him in death in 1962. He had operated a retail oil tank truck for many years. Survivors include: three sons, Lowell of Rockville, Harold of Williamsport, and Robert of California; two daughters, Mrs. Helen Waymire of Independence and Mrs. Lorraine Snider of Attica; 12 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28, at the DeSutter Funeral Home in Attica. The Rev. Eldon Brown officiated and burial was in Riverside Cemetery. --typed  by Walt W
