- Tangier, Ind - Howard Franklin Brown, 59 of Tangier, died at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan 7, 1972 at the Veteran's Hospital in Danville. He had been a patient there 26 years. B. March 27, 1912 in Tangier, he was the s/o John and Cora Brown. He was formerly employed by the C & EI RR, last working in 1946. He was a veteran of WWII. He was married March 11, 1944 to Agnes Petrie, who survives. Other survivors include two sisters, Nellie of Danville and Mrs. Dan Newnum of Kingman. Services wil be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Tudor Funeral Home Rockville. The Rev. James O. Trusdale will officiate. Burial in Memory Garden Cem. The body is at the funeral home. Friends will be received after 4 p.m Sunday. -- kbz

Born March 27, 1912, in Tangier, he was the son of John and Cora Brown. He was formerly employed by the C&EI Railroad, last working in 1946. He was a veteran of World War II. He was married March 11, 1944, to Agnes Petrie, who survives. Other survivors include two sisters, Nellie of Danville and Mrs. Dan Newnum of Kingman. Services were 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Tudor Funeral Home in Rockville. The Rev. James O. Trusdale officiated. Burial was in Memory Garden Cemetery. – jlr
