Crawfordsville April 23 – James Joseph Brown, 70, former trustee of Davis township, Fountain County, died at his home, 209 South Grant Avenue here this morning after an illness of one year. Born in Fountain County, he served as Davis Township Trustee for eight year prior to 1927, at which time, he moved here and was employed by a casket company. He was a member of First Methodist Church and married Alice Jane Marlow who died in January of this year. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Mildred Muse of Newark, NJ; a son, J. Howard Brown of Niagra Falls, NY; a sister Mrs. Ellen Stanley of Glenside, PA and two brothers, J. Frank of Chicago and George E of Oroville, Cal. - kbz
