Mrs. Maude Rowland Brown, 77, a native of Covington died Tuesday (8 October 1946) at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Harold DeCoursey, Chevy Chase, MD, according to word received in Covington. The body arrived at Covington Thursday noon and funeral services are tentatively set for Friday afternoon at Shelby Funeral Home. Burial in Mt. Hope cemetery. Mrs. Brown was born in Covington in 1869, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. George Rowland. She is survived by the daughter at whose home she died.
