Gessie --- Funeral services for Orville Leroy Brown, age 51, native of Fountain County, who died at 12 o'clock (noon) Friday, Feb. 1, in the Bradenton Memorial Hospital, Bradenton, Fla., were held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 5, at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home in Covington. The Rev. Colon Parks officiated and burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Covington. Mr. Brown was born June 1, 1911 in Shawnee Twp., the son of George W. and Gertrude Darling Brown. He was married Feb. 5, 1933 to Elsie Marquess, who survives. He was spending the winter in Florida and had suffered a heart attack on Wednesday, Jan. 30, and was taken to the hospital. He was a farmer and had lived in the Gessie community for several years. He also had driven a truck for several years and hauled livestock. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are: one son, John Leroy of Perrysville Rt. 1; one daughter, Mrs. Janet Louise Sare of Gessie; four grandchildren; and three brothers, Hansel of Covington and Bradenton, Fla., Gerald of Attica Rt. 4, and Robert (Bob) of Covington Rt. 2. Serving as pallbearers were: Kenneth and Alan Brown, Donald, Richard and James Stonecipher and Sid Glover.  --typed by Walt W
